ELSYCOM GmbH – supported by the affiliate company CESTRON International GmbH – has successfully delivered and commissioned a completely new designed transmitter. The new NAVLC transmitter series is based on the field proven TRAM transmitter family of the former company “Telefunken Sendertechnik”.
The NAVLC has been re-designed based on our Vector Difference Modulation (VDM) to include applications at lower frequency ranges. Furthermore, we improved the overall system efficiency and achieved more than 90% (at 30 kHz).
Our affiliated company ANTENSAN has successfully commissioned a NAVLC transmitter with an output power of 100 kW in Türkiye, providing reliable long-range communication capabilities in support of our end customer, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). This achievement further demonstrates CESTRON Group’s strategic expertise in delivering high-power communication solutions for demanding defence applications.
The NAVLC supports long-range communication over distances of several thousand of kilometers. Future applications will include data and voice broadcasting, meteorological and military services where operators are planning to modernize their infrastructure. Therefore, CESTRON decided to upgrade the NAVLC for use cases on higher frequency ranges of up to 200 kHz.

Elsyscom Transmits Time Signals– New Long Wave Transmitter in Operation

In the Federal Republic of Germany, Central European Time (CET) or Central European Summer Time (CEST) is the legally mandated time. Radio transmission is one method used to disseminate time information, particularly over long distances, and the German authority Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) has been tasked with this responsibility.
For this application, ELSYSCOM has manufactured and commissioned a state-of-the-art solid-state transmitter that transmits an RF signal at a frequency of 77.5 kHz with a radiated power of 30 to 35 kW EIRP. The signal strengths has improved considerably through this measure and allows the German time signal to reach receivers and to control devices and systems in distances of up to 2,000 km.
The new transmitter has been derived from the field-proven PDM solid-state transmitter series, featuring a modernized pre-amplifier and the latest generation of amplifier modules.

Elsyscom has delivered two self-manufactured medium wave radio transmitters, one TRAM 25 in 2019 and one TRAM 100 in early January 2020.

Furthermore, in late 2019 Elsyscom – supported by our affiliate company Cestron International GmbH and the German company Interkon Systems & Engineering GmbH – successfully completed the TDA medium wave projects in Bechar and Ouled Fayet in Algeria.
At the same time, Elsyscom gave local assistance to TWR in implementing and refurbishing new transmission systems in Bishkek/ Kirgistan.
